Synopsis

The remote host is affected by a denial of service vulnerability.

Description

According to its self-reported version, the Cisco TelePresence Server running on the remote host is affected by a denial of service vulnerability due to improper handling of a specially crafted stream of IPv6 packets. An unauthenticated, remote attacker can exploit this, via a specially crafted stream of IPv6 packets, to cause a kernel panic, resulting in a denial of service condition.

Solution

Upgrade to the relevant fixed version referenced in Cisco bug ID CSCuu46673. Alternatively, apply the workaround as referenced in the vendor advisory.
