Synopsis

Arbitrary code can be executed on the remote host through Microsoft PowerPoint.

Description

The remote Windows host has a version of Microsoft PowerPoint that is affected by multiple code execution vulnerabilities. A remote attacker could exploit this by tricking a user into viewing a maliciously crafted PowerPoint file.

Solution

Microsoft has released a set of patches for PowerPoint 2002, 2003, 2007, 2010, PowerPoint Viewer 2007 and 2010, Office Compatibility Pack, and Office Web Apps.
